About Nerd For A Living
Nerd For A Living (N4AL) seeks to assist enterprising nerds in the discovery and pursuit of fulfilling and profitable career paths in entertainment / pop-culture / fandom industries. This includes comics, gaming, anime, film, TV, art, crafting, publishing, and more.
Through our podcast, website, convention speaker panels, and events, N4AL provides information and tools to help you pursue and achieve those goals.
N4AL was co-founded in 2013 by Wendy Buske and Adron Buske. Wendy is an advertising professional who has worked with numerous notable, national clients. Adron is a creative professional with 14+ years experience in digital and broadcast media. Both are passionate nerds who love comics, movies, gaming & many other assorted flavors of geekery.
About Super Heroines, Etc.
Super Heroines, Etc. (SHE) is a 501c3 nonprofit focused on empowering women through educational events, classes, and workshops. As nerd and geek communities – like the tech field, comic conventions, and social media – are increasingly becoming hostile to women, SHE provides safe spaces for women through their mission to foster a women-focused community of nerds to learn, be creative, and gain confidence.
SHE does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, ancestry, or national or ethnic origin.
All are welcome! They ask that everyone is respectful and welcoming of all who join the group. Though they are female focused, men are welcome to join the group.
