We had a great time at Planet Comicon 2017!

Nerd For A Living podcast host Adron Buske journeyed back to one of our favorite conventions, Planet Comicon in Kansas City, for their 2017 show. While he was there, he moderated 6 speakers panels and presented our Real Life Power-Up seminar. As always, the Planet audiences were amazing, fun to interact with, and made the panel experiences great for speakers and attendees alike.

A big shout-out to the Planet Comicon team of organizers, staff, and “minions” (volunteers) who put on a fantastic show, and were super helpful all weekend long. Everyone we talked to had a similar positive experience with the staff, gushing about the entire convention experience.

Also huge thanks to all of our panelists who took time from their busy convention schedules to share their knowledge – and generally joke around a bit on stage.

Convention Highlight – the RWBY Cast Panel

RWBY Panel at Planet Comicon 2017

A big highlight of the convention for Nerd For A Living was Adron hosting the RWBY voice cast Q&A. Along with co-moderator Legendary Rose Cosplay, Adron talked with the voice actors from the hugely popular Rooster Teeth animated show. An audience of hundreds of dedicated RWBY fans joined us for a hilarious hour of behind-the-scenes anecdotes, fan questions, and general shenanigans. Adron is pictured above (left to right, back to front) with Elizabeth Maxwell, Arryn Zech, Jessica Nigri, Legendary Rose, and Kara Eberle.

These ladies were amazing to listen to! The RWBY panel was so much fun! #planetcomicon #rwby

Something Something Danger Zone! – The Making of Archer

For the third straight year, Adron joined Archer storyboard artist Kevin Mellon to present the “Making of Archer” panel. It doesn’t get much better than hanging out for an hour with a room full of Archer fans. And, as usual, we had a blast talking about the show, seeing Kevin and the Archer team’s behind-the-scenes work, and generally bantering.
