This week, Wendy and Adron talk to storyboard artist and comic book creator, Kevin Mellon.
Kevin is a storyboard artist for Floyd County Productions, where he works on the hilarious animated spy comedy, Archer. The popular program is currently in its sixth season on FX.
He walks us through the process of creating an episode of Archer. Floyd County uses a unique animation workflow which is produced entirely here in the US. Kevin describes the script to storyboard to production process, the people involved, and how the show has evolved since season one.

Right now, Kevin is writing and drawing volume 2 of his creator-owned comic, Suicide Sisters. The book follows two sisters riding across Texas on their motorcycles, trying to find the Devil so they can take their souls back.
We discuss Kevin’s road from musician to comics illustrator, to how he can inadvertently got his job on Archer through conversations on Twitter.
